Save The Snakes Travels To Araku

Save The Snakes has begun to conduct this year’s community stewardship and educational programs for communities in the Eastern Ghats. On this trip, Save The Snakes India Program Director and Co-Founder Murthy Kantimahanthi traveled to the small, rural town of Araku in Visakhapatnam District.

During his visit he presented about snake ecology and conservation to a group of 85 school children. The local children do not know English, so the presentation was translated in to Telugu. They learned about why snakes are important and how they can leave harmoniously with snakes.
