Murthy celebrates World Snake Day

Save The Snakes co-founder, Murthy Kantimahanti, celebrated World Snake Day at a school called Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan. He spoke to everyone about conservation methods for various reptiles and measures initiated to prevent the destruction of their natural habitat.

He primarily primarily focused on cobras, the Russell’s pit viper, the common krait and the saw-scaled viper to shed light on the need to conserve the endangered snakes. These snakes are more prevalent in India and people encounter them often.

Students, teachers and the director of the school all took part in what was a successful awareness programme.
