Ashlie Koehn is from rural Kansas, where she first fell in love with ecology. She studied at the University of Kansas where she received B.A.s in Economics and International Studies with a minor in Environmental Studies (2016). She received her Master’s degree at Tsinghua University through the Schwarzman Scholar’s Program (2018), where she wrote her thesis on the environmental impacts of Chinese natural gas pipelines in Central Asia. Her background is in policy research and includes work as an economist for the Bureau of Labor Statistics and a statistical programmer at the RAND Corporation. Ashlie loves to research, watch, learn about, and engage with the natural world and looks forward to helping Save The Snakes.
