Dive into the New Virtual Museum: Celebrating Snake Conservation Across the Globe

Save The Snakes is proud to unveil our brand-new Virtual Museum, launched to inspire, educate, and unite snake conservationists and enthusiasts around the world. This immersive digital experience offers visitors a thoughtfully curated journey through the remarkable world of snakes—including their vital ecological roles and the ongoing efforts to secure their future.

Exhibit 1: Spotlight on Global Conservation Partners

Our inaugural exhibit, “Save The Snakes Conservation Partners Around the World,” showcases the work of nine of our Conservation Partners and Support grant recipients from around the world.  This exhibit brings to life the projects and experiences of our international Conservation Partners, all of whom presented at the very first STS World Snake Day Symposium held on 16 July 2025.

The exhibit’s design simulates a museum room, inviting visitors to walk around, explore, and engage with stories of conservation in action—from frontline community strategies to habitat protection and human-snake coexistence efforts.

Why It Matters

  • A Global Perspective: The exhibit showcases diverse, community-based conservation initiatives spanning continents—underlining our mission to support those working directly at the ground level.

  • Accessible Anytime, Anywhere: By going virtual, we’ve enabled anyone—whether conservation professionals or curious learners—to experience and learn from these projects at their own pace.

  • Raising awareness: With our goal of snake awareness and promoting coexistence between people and snakes, we aim to create more exhibits that encourage everyone to learn about snakes.

What to Expect in the Virtual Museum

  • Interactive Exploration: Navigate through digital “sections” featuring different partners, richly illustrated with stories, photos, and insights into their conservation work.

  • Engaging Narratives: Each conservation story highlights innovative approaches—whether reducing human-snake conflict, engaging communities, protecting threatened species, or preserving habitats.

  • Build Awareness and Support: Encounter real-world challenges and successes that define the global snake conservation movement—offering inspiration and understanding in equal measure.
