Elizabeth Vaccaro

Elizabeth is a native Californian and longtime lover of the natural world. She earned dual Bachelors in Global Development and Political Science from Seattle Pacific University (2020) with a focus in Biology. She first entered the wildlife conservation field through wild bird rehabilitation, where she handled a wide variety of songbirds and diurnal birds of prey and picked up birding as a hobby. She worked in renewable energy project development until joining the American Bird Conservancy as their Major Gift Officer and Ambassador Program coordinator. She joined the Board of Directors for Save the Snakes in 2022, and is now a citizen scientist for the Denver Zoo Pika and Boreal Toad monitoring projects and habitat restoration volunteer with the Canada Geese Protection League. Elizabeth is based in Denver, Colorado, and enjoys backpacking, biking, and learning about the intersections of human-wildlife conflict, habitat integration, and climate change.
